In years past we have seen more muted color palettes for weddings but brides are now being more drawn to colors that are matching their environment. For example, we are seeing wedding colors that resemble wildflowers, sunsets, or even lilac and magenta wedding color schemes.

2. Disposable Cameras

We know that the couple has a professional photographer at their wedding to capture all your moments, but we are seeing more disposable cameras at weddings. They are fun because you’ll have instant images to look at after your wedding. Disposable cameras are also cheap and durable so even if your guests are a little tipsy from the open bar you don’t have to worry about them breaking.

3. Eco-Friendly Wedding Ideas

Many couples are now finding ways to make their wedding more sustainable. You’ll see that micro weddings and elopements are becoming a popular New England Wedding trend. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes and many couples are opting for this over a huge and expensive wedding. Engaged couples in New England are also finding used decor from weddings on Facebook Marketplace and are opting for dried flowers or flower alternatives on for wedding decor.

4. Documentary-Style Photography

As much as we love the posed imagery in wedding photography we are seeing more candids imagery being incorporated into wedding galleries. Couples want to have a more photojournalist feel when their day is captured. Almost as if the photographer is reporting the story of their day. Unscripted moments are what brides and grooms are looking for that tells the entire story of their wedding day! 5. Casual Wedding Food

Couples are now opting for unconventional wedding food ideas because it’s cheaper and who doesn’t love comfort food?! Wedding food trucks are also seen more at New England wedding venues. They are convenient because they are small and great for even backyard weddings. There are great food truck options such as Cheese Louise.
