• University of New Hampshire (UNH): classic brick architecture of Thompson Hall, treelined paths that are blooming with cherry blossoms, and the UNH stadium and many landmarks of Durham, NH.
• Plymouth State University — mountain views overlooking Rounds Hall, mixed with a cozy college-town feel in the White Mountains that make you feel at home.
• New England College: quiet, scenic backdrops, gorgeous builds like the Lyons Center and the New England College Covered Bridge and charming New England character that Henniker, NH offers.
• Keene State College — beautiful green spaces and timeless academic buildings such as the Hale Building make the perfect backdrop for your New Hampshire Graduation Session.

Planning the Perfect New Hampshire Graduation Session

The best graduation sessions start with thoughtful planning. For each of my sessions, we focused on three things:

• Choosing meaningful campus locations
• Scheduling around golden hour light
• Creating a relaxed experience instead of stiff posing

Walking through campus together allowed us to naturally stop at favorite spots: academic buildings, open quads, and hidden corners that felt personal to each of my graduates. We always meet beforehand on a call to decide where you would like your session to go, and we always create a vision together, this makes my graduates more comfortable and ready to be themselves in front of my lens!

What to Wear and Bring for College Graduation Photos

Outfits can completely change the feel of a session. I always recommend bringing a mix of looks:

• Cap and gown for classic graduation portraits
• A dressy outfit for announcement photos to change up your look throughout the session
• Props (optional): Champagne or confetti for a fun action shot
  • Andre Champagne or Welches White Sparkling Grape Juice

Neutral tones and soft colors photograph beautifully against New Hampshire’s spring greenery and historic campus architecture. Or maybe you want to wear once of your school colors, that will always look great for your New Hampshire Graduation Session!

Golden Hour on Campus: The Secret Weapon

Timing will make a huge difference in your NH graduation photos.

We planned this session just before sunset or a couple hours after sunrise, where golden hour light makes you as a subject pop and adds depth to every image. On campuses like UNH, Plymouth State, New England College, and Keene State, the evening light filters through trees and buildings in a way that creates soft, glowing portraits without harsh shadows.

It’s hands-down the best time for timeless and flattering images!
