Rose & David’s Maternity Session in Franconia Notch

Rose contacted me at the end of May about her maternity session at told me of her and her husband’s love for the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I knew immediately of the perfect place for their photos. The Basin is where we decided on for their maternity session in Franconia Notch State Park.

It can be a busy location for photos in New Hampshire but we decided to do them in the morning. It is typically less busy at this time. We were able to get that morning glow through the greenery of the forest and they came out absolutely stunning. They are expecting their little boy in a few weeks so it was important that they got this session done right away. Rose and her husband travelled all the way from Massachusetts for this session. If that doesn’t show how much they love the mountains I don’t know what does!

We explored the trails of The Basin and got to take photos in front of the waterfalls and river’s that run through the cascade trail. Of course, we also stopped at the iconic Basin waterfall! Rose was even brave enough to get in the water at the end of the photo session and I am obsessed with how they turned out! The glow of the morning, greenery and the sparkling water reflections made this session one to remember. The White Mountains in Franconia Notch are always beautiful and full of surprises. I love getting the opportunity to photograph moments like this in such a beautiful place.
